With the warm weather here, and hopefully staying you start to think about all of the things you can start doing outside. You also start to think can you fit in your shorts from last summer with all of the holiday's that have passed and all that delicious foods that you have consumed. I know you don't want to admit it but everyone is feeling and thinking the same thing.
One of the nice things with the warmer weather is the delicious fresh fruits and vegetables. I have posted a wonderful classic salad recipe on our Facebook page - The Classic American Cobb Salad. The reason that I like this salad is it is stuffed full of wonderful vegetables from Romaine and Boston lettuce to ripe avocados, fresh chives and ripe tomatoes. I am always looking for new and exciting salads to try specially when the weather gets warmer and you don't feel like having a hot stove on.
The other great thing with summer is the abundance of fresh fruits. From eating them by themself or cutting up a wide variety to make a fresh fruit salad. Strawberries, blueberries, cantaloupe, honeydew, apples of all different kinds to raspberries.
Please take a moment to look at our Classic Cobb Salad recipe on Facebook and let us know if you make it. Also if you have different summer salad reciped that you would like to share with us please let us know. Take a picture and post it to us. We can make it a featured recipe on our website.
